HUGE Haul

Recently I went shopping and I thought it would be fun to share some of the stuff I got with you. As a disclamer I would like to say that I don't want to brag or anything. I just do this for fun and I find it interesting myself to see what other people purchase when they go shopping. If you don't want to see this, I suggest you scroll down or click the home button right now. I also want to point out that this is a collective haul, so I didn't buy this all in one go. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

ZARA

T-shirt
I love really simple Tees with a design on it and this T-shirt did have all that (not that much to ask, though). It says 'Guau' and I'm not too sure what it actually means, but I'm guessing the sound a dog makes when it's down or something. I'm not entirely sure, but I thought it was nice, definatly to wear with a blazer and tucked into your pants.

Blouse
I saw this and I hoped they had it in my size. Luckily they did and so I tried it on and bought it. I do think it's quite fitted for any occassion. Just for daily wear or dress it up a bit and do a public speaking thing or maybe even with a skirt. It's very classic, which is basicly my style so I like it.

Sweater
Am I the only one that has an obsession with striped sweaterrs? I have way too many already, but I loved this one so much I just had to take it home. It is very loose and flowy and it had an amazing price (it was like 70% off or something).

Bikini
The idea was to show of my bikini, but it just looked a bit to weird to show of my belly and have just my bikini on in close up. So I didn't upload the picture, but it's this black bandeau- ish top with a bit of fabric extra. It's really hard to discribe, but when you see it or have it, you'll know what I'm talking about. I love it a lot and it wasn't expensive at all!

HOLLISTER

Sweater
Being honest with you, I'm not a massive 'Hollister girl' and I didn't look much forward to it when my cousin wanted to go inside (and she is Hollister crazy). But I saw this sweater and I just wanted it. I think I will style this with a long skirt or something. It's definatly not the sweater in which I want to show of my belly, so I'll wear it with something high waisted which will give it a very relaxed look.

NEW LOOK

Top
You might have seen from the previous things shown, I don't wear colour that much and I'm a huge 'black, grey, white' fan. But I stepped outside my 'comfortzone' and bought a red top. I love the lace detail on the top. It makes it cropped looking, but still covering your belly.

T-shirt
I wasn't sure about this one as it looks like a grandma pattern from afar. But when I have it on, I actually love the way it looks. For summer this will be perfect with a white laced short or something like that. It does look very summery and happy, which is definatly something I want to have in summer. Also I don't think it needs much jewellery.

H&M

Top
I might needed to take this top out of the bag a bit sooner, but I forgot and now it actually looks like I need to iron it (which I will do), but this is such a lovely top. It has this beautiful colour (like Mint Candy Apple from Essie) and on the back it actually is completely laced with some buttons. I love it a lot and I'd like to combinate it with some high waisted shorts from H&M, I bought another time, but it would also look amazing with a regular jeans short. Or maybe just a pair of jeans.

FOREVER 21

Earrings
If any of you know the daisy perfume from Marc Jacobs, this might remind you to it. I love that perfume and when I saw these earrings I just had to get them. They look so much a like it and they are just pretty overall. Perfect for summer!

Earrings
I'm quite into cropped tops and flower earrings and so I show you another pair of flower earrings. These are a bit less summer, but I sure like them as well. They are a bit more 'mature' I guess and I think they will be nice when I want to be a bit more dressed up.

Earrings
These were, to be honest, a pretty impulse buy. I thought they would look good on a dress that I eventually didn't buy. However I do like them and I think there amazing for an outfit that doesn't need much more, but still isn't complete without a pair of earrings.

Dress

I also purchased a dress from Forever 21 which I was wearing today. Problem: I ate spaghetti. So I had to wash it immediately and I can't show it to you. Basicly it is a gray and white striped dress with a zipper on the back and mid long sleeves. It looks very basic on the hanger, but when you have it on, it is this very pretty loose yet not too loose dress. I love it!

SEPHORA

Too faced- Natural Eye Palette
I went to Sephora for the Too Face Bonjour Soleil bronzer palette, but they didn't have it in stock anymore and I probably won't be able to get it since it's limited edition. But what I did see, was this gorgeous 'natural eyes' palette by Too Faced. It consists of 9 pretty colour divided it 3 groups (one Day, one Classic and one Fashion). Right now I feel like Silk Teddy and Nudie are my favourite colours, but I might need to use it a bit more to actually be able to tell you.

Smashbox- Photofinish Primer (mini)
I wanted to try this one out, because I ran out of my Benefit The Porefessional one and I like to change products once in a while. I did buy the mini one, because I didn't know how good or bad it would be, but I tried it out this moning and I love it already! I don't hear a lot from it, which suprises me actually.

Benefit- They're Real
This mascara. It's just so worth the hype. It stays all day, it makes your lashes look lovely and it doesn't smudge during the day. It's swear proof, but not water proof. There's an big difference, though! Wear it in the water and you look like a panda, which surprises me because it is very hard to get of and it stays so great in place. But if I'm not going to a pool party, this is my best friend!

LUSH

Twilight
I have a slight obsession with the Twilight bath bomb from Lush. It calms me down and it just smells so good! I love the colour it gets when you trow it in a bath and I don't think it does something special to my skin, which is already something good for my ultra dry skin. If you haven't tried it, please do because I love it so much

Dream Cream (sample)
I love a good sample and in Lush they gave me this sample of Dream Cream. However, I don't like the scent too much... The way it feels on your skin is lovely and it does moisturize, but I do not like the smell of it. It smells a bit funny and not really what I want to smell like all day long. Too bad, because I actually do love the way my skin feels after using this.

HEMA

Eyeliner
I saw this light blue eye liner on Pinterest the other day and I absolutly loved it, so I thought I'd get a blue liner myself and see how it looks on me. I didn't try it out yet, but hopefully soon I will feel brave enough.

Brush (202)
So, I once purchased this HEMA brush a long while ago (I can't even remember) and I totally love it! So much I still use it on a daily basis right now and I though that maybe the other brushes would be nice as well, so I wanted to give this a go.

DRUGSTORE

L'Oreal- Studio Matt & Messy
I have a weird obsession with the way hair looks when you're around the beach on a summery day. So much, I have made it my mission to make my hair look like that. So far I'm not completly happy with the effect I got from some of my products and since this one said 'sea salt spray', I needed to get it. So I did.

John Frieda- Full repair
I forgot to take a picture of this... Anyway, this is my shampoo and conditioner I've used a while now. Usually I feel the urge to change my shampoo after I finished a bottle because I want to find a 'better one'. This one, however makes me believe this is the best my hair will ever look. Well, kinda. It really gives my hair a soft feeling and shine, which my dry hair needs so much. Also this is my fourth bottle of each, I'm purchasing. This must mean something good then.

Seeing One Direction Live!

Recently I went to Amsterdam, which is already a very exciting thing! But to make it even more exciting, I went to a One Direction concert! I planned this trip about 9 months ago and I got very, very excited when it was actually time to pack my bags and leave with one of my friends. I must admit that I became less of a fan than 9 months ago, but that doesn't mean I wasn't looking forward to it. However when I was queuing and everyone started to scream and get closer, I almost had a panic attack. This made me want to leave and I was thinking 'enough, I don't want it anymore!'. I did not get out of the line, simple because I already got that far and I didn't want to give up before I saw them and waste the money. And I remember feeling very releaved when I finally got to breath and sit down (I was standing for about 3 hours or up). I didn't get to sit for too long, because people started to push and everyone wanted to get really close, but when 5 seconds of summer (not a massive fan, but I think they're pretty good) came up, I started to forget about the panic I had before. I had so much fun and I'm really happy that I didn't leave. They were amazing live and I'm really happy I actually got to go.

Paris!

Recently, I went to Paris, as I once said in a blogpost a while ago. So I went with some friends and although my feet are kind of broken, I had lots of fun and I've seen some super nice things. If you ever have the chance to, you should definatly visit Paris, because it is filled with luxury, but also some really nice places. For example, Quartier Latin. But anyway, I actually just wanted to show you some pictures. I know I didn't shoot a lot of things, but basicly I was to busy staring at them and go 'wow!' If I have to pick my favourite place, I would say Montmartre, it's such a lovely place. It's a must when the night is falling, because you can see all the lights of the city and you can actually understand why they call it 'city of the lights'. Also the Sacre Coeur is so beautiful. In and outside. But anyway, I'll leave you with some of my pictures.

February Favourites!

Hello, again, it's been a while, but I thought that I'd start blogging again after this short break. Lots have been going on, but in that time I could prepare myself properly on blogging again, something I love to do... In the days that have gone by, I tried to write new posts so I can upload every 2 days again. Sping is coming up, even in the rainy area where I live, which means I can do easter themed posts or just spring-time blogposts, because I love spring (when we actually get a proper spring, ofcourse). Also, soon I will take of to Paris and I will do a post on that too, ofcourse! But today: My February Favourites!

February has gone by so fast, but it seemed like I used more products than ever. Maybe because it is the last month I actually consider as "winter" and I want to try out some more moisterizers before I go and get some that actually smell fresher. However, here are my favourites!

Make Up:

Something that has been around for quite a while (in make up years), but I only recently discovered: Lash Accelerator Endless. It love how it gives volume and lenght, but on a natural way. You can layer it if you want bigger looking eyes, but I prefer a natural look, as I'm still a student and only 16 years, my make up doesn't go all the way and is mostly to a minimum whilest on school. However, I absolutly adore make up and trying new stuff. Long story short: I love the flawless look of the lash accelerator endless mascara.

Can you say 'babylips' from Maybelline is make up? I think so, others may say it is more a 'lip care' product other than make up, but it gives a hint of colour when using. I've got the 'pink punch' from a friend for christmas, and it's not that I didn't love the texture and feel of the product, but the pink wasn't really me. I love the gived and I was really thankfull, it's just that the colour was a bit too bright pink with my skin tone that matches better with a orange-red colours. However, I gave it another go and dabbed it a bit more carefull and now I love it! It is really moisterizing and I get all the fuzz about it, so I think I'll start recommending this more *puts some more on*. Can I also add that I find it really funny that it has 'adult use only' on the side?

Then next, I have been loving a pencil winged eyeliner, so I purchased one from Bourjois. I have had a liquid one from the same line that I absolutly loved (which I lost recently), so I hoped that the pencil liner may would be equily as good. And I guessed right! It stays on so long and the pigmentation is fantastic! So I bought them in the shades 'Brun Design' and 'Noir Expert', the black one also has a sharpener, which is easy for your make up back. Anyways: real keepers!

Lastly, I love the foundation that I gave a go in the beginning of January and meanwhile it has almost become an empty: Benefit- Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow! (talking about a mouthfull), which reminds me that I need to do a new one this month (would you like a MAC one?). But about the benefit one: I love the look it gives me, very natural and not too shiny (for my dry skin), it is buildable and stays on quite long! However, if you want a fuller coverage, you may want to search a little further. You want the full review? Click here.

Body:

Only one favourite in this category and it's from Yves Roger. I have quite a dry skin and this shows more and more in winter time, but luckily I rushed into Yves Roger and I found something that I believe I will use a bit longer than only this month: Repair Lotion for extra dry skin! I saw my body loving me for using this and the scent is quite good. It is with shea butter, which has proved itself enough in any other product, but something about this lotion is even better. I use it everytime I've showered and so far so good.

Random:

Can I say I love my glasses? I have a prescription for -1.25 glasses, so this means I don't need to wear them all the time, but I clearly can see a lot better with them on. So I've got this new glasses from Ray Ban (because I needed them, not because I just wanted new ones) and I don't know how they're called exactly, but they are from the legend collection and maybe the picture says enough.

Another thing I'm obsessed with is kind of like a person. Or more like a youtube channel. If any of you know Kayley Melissa, you'll know what I mean! She does amazing hair tutorials and also a make up tutorial once in a while, but most important: she explains what she does in a few easy steps so everyone can follow. The products she uses are also things a lot of people can get their hands on, which is only a bonus. So if you don't know who she is, click here.

Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin REVIEW!

A new review for My New Year's Resolution! (click the link to know what I mean). I mentioned that it'd probably be a Rimmel one, but I changed my mind last minute. I had a Rimmel one so I thought I'd play it save and just get another one (with a different name) as I quite liked it. However, Rimmel is in the back in my drugstore, so I had to pass all the other brands first. And when I was walking by I saw 'NEW!' on the Maybelline counter and I can't resist a new thing. I didn't have time left however and I didn't want to wait another hour on a train as I had to go somewhere. I thought 'whatever' and grabbed the Maybelline one and thought 'if I dislike it, what's the worst that can happen?', payed the product, got to the station, took the train and didn't get too late.

So I didn't really do my research for this one. No problem, I got home and searched a bit on the world wide web. and it seemed like it is a well loved foundation. I mean it's a glass container, a nice pump, it doesn't look that weird or special. Why wouldn't it be a nice foundation? It promisses you to have better skin in 3 weeks, a flawless finish and it should stay all day long. Big promisses, Maybelline! Also, it says to even out your skintone, but that's what all foundations were meant to do.

Now, onto the colour range. I will tell you that it is a quite matte foundation, but not too matte. Which indeed gives you that flawless look. But, depending on where you live, it's only available in 6 to 8 shades. And I wouldn't mind it at all, if my shade was in that range. However, it's not! I bought it in 'Ivory', which is the lightest colour available for me. I know there's a Light Beige, which would be a lot more appropriate, but I can't get my hands on that. Which obviously bothers me.

left: What I wear in the summer (soft beige, Rimmel), right: what I wear now (Ivory, Benefit), Middle: Super Stay Better Skin

The packaging looks fine and really light, but when the foundation gets out, I feel like it is way darker and a bit more orange, pink-isher. Leaving that out, I think it is an amazing foundation! It has that flawless look, it does cover up, however not the most. I would say light to medium coverage and it's a bit buildable. So if you just have a bit of red cheeks or tiny imperfections, this is good for you. On the packaging, it says that it's for normal skin and I would say that it's also good for dry skin as it doesn't make my skin dry. For superb dry skin, I think this could be a little different, but I like it. I doesn't irritates my skin either, because I have quite sensitive skin too.

Lastly, I think I like to apply it with my fingers better. That's also what it says on the site. I'm not sure whether it stays all day, because it is the wrong colour for me and that means that I don't wear it all day as I'm picky I can't leave it on. However, I feel like it would last some time. I'll do a review on that later when the colour is right for me (I'm guessing this will be around April), next to the other review. And let me sum up the pro's and contra's again.

PRO:

  • Gives you a flawless look and doesn't look like you're wearing make up
  • It brightens (I forgot to mention this)
  • Budget!
  • Very good for people with not too much imperfections and redness
  • promisses to make your skin look better in 3 weeks
  • doesn't dry your skin, nor making it greasy
CONTRA:
  • Not available in too many colours and the lightest and darkest shades aren't available everywhere
  • Not for someone who struggles with acne or redness as it doesn't give enough coverage
That's it! Sorry it's a bit messy, but I can't get the right colour. As soon as it matches, I'll do an update. I've been ill last 4-5 days, so I didn't write anything. I wanted to do some more Valentine things, but I've been unable. So I think you can expect a Valentine storm on my blog, very soon. I want to do some DIY's as well as an outfit or make up blogpost. Hope you enjoyed anyway,

Lots Of Love,
Me
