I'm back with a foundation review! I've been having so much problems with my skin and it's turning oily while it used to be dry combination. I use something different (on which I will do a blogpost next week) which is helping me so much as well, but I wanted something new as foundation as I use it on my skin daily. It couldn't be oil-based, it could not be to drying (I don't want dry patches as well) and I wanted it to actually help my skin a bit. I thought that Clinique might be helpful, because it promisses so much for a better skin. I first wanted the superbalanced make up, but eventually went for the Anti Acne Solution Liquid Make Up (which is a mouth-full). The reason why I eventually chose this is because it was recommended for skin types 2,3 and 4 (dry combination, oily and very oily) and this would mean that if my skin went back to dry combination this would still be useful. Also it promissed to help me with my blemishes and spots without drying my skin out and giving it a nice coverage. So I wanted to sort things out and see if it really works.
I've been trying it for a good 3 weeks now and something you should know is that I've been having a tan and yet I got the colour 'fresh Ivory'. And after some research I noticed a lot of people complaing about bad colourmatches. I've had it on my face before I bought it and had a professional help me and I guess that's the problem. Because their Ivory is really not (for example) Benefit's Ivory. But for me fresh Ivory is the perfect match right now. It doesn't look cakey or it doesn't crease, it leaves your skin looking pretty natural but without the blemishes. So euhm... pretty and flawless.
As for the lasting, I thing it lasts all day for me, but I do set it with the Bourjois healthy balance unifying powder (which I love) in my T-zone. however, I think it would last without as well (maybe not the 10 hours I'm wearing it).
As for the Anti Acne Solution, I think it keeps it under controle and cools them down, but really removing them (in the fast way I want them to disappear) is not something I believe it does. It is a nice foundation to use with your skincare routine, but this does not make everything better with just one swipe! Amazing to support your routine, but not something that will work overnight (so I recommend you not using to overnight as well ;) ).
Honestly, I think this is my favourite foundation right now, because it gives coverage and cools blemishes down without drying your skin out. For me I don't see any problem with colour matches or the lasting.I'm not too sure about the packaging, but that's personal and maybe the colours should be a bit clearer for the consument to find a great match, but I would solve that problem by asking help.
Lots Of Love
